Showcase Scholarships Scholarships | Lafayette Music Company

Scholarships

prospective students should fill out an application form for a generic scholarship audition.

After the audition, students are ranked and matched to the scholarship which best suits them. More information about the scholarship application process, audition dates, and application forms can be found at http://music.louisiana.edu/scholarships.html. The six scholarships funded by Lafayette Music Company and the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands State Championship and their requirements are:

  • Lafayette Music Company - William C. "Bill" Peyton Memorial Endowed Scholarship

    • Must be a full time student.
    • Must be a Louisiana resident.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
    • Must be a Music Major with a piano pedagogy or performance concentration, or a guitar concentration.
    • Only one is awarded at $600 per school year.

  • Lafayette Music Company - Raymond & Karen Goodrich Endowed Scholarship

    • Must be a full time student.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
    • Must be a Music or Music Education Major.
    • Seven scholarships of $1000 per school year awarded to students who participate in the Marching Band and Concert Band/Wind Ensemble, with preference given to Music Education Majors.
    • Two scholarships of $1000 per school year awarded to students majoring in Music Business.

     

  • Lafayette Music Company Endowed Scholarship

    • Must be a full time student.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
    • Must be studying to obtain a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy.
    • Louisiana residents preferred.
    • Only one is awarded at $1000 per school year.

  • Lafayette Music Company - Robert Thibodeaux Memorial Endowed Scholarship

    • Must be a full time student.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
    • Must be an Instrumental Music Education Major.
    • St. Martin Parish residents preferred.
    • Students with financial needs preferred.
    • Only one is awarded at $600 per school year.

  • Lafayette Music Company - Dr. Gerald Waguespack Endowed Scholarship in Music

    • Must be a full time student.
    • Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
    • Must be a Music Major.
    • Only one is awarded at $600 per school year. 

  • Lafayette Music Company - Jamie Cappel Memorial Endowed Scholarship
